At the new Reptiles LIVE! Exhibit at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History you can stand eye-to-eye with live reptiles from around the world, admire colorful lizards, turtles, snakes, and crocodilians in 19 living dioramas.

Reptiles LIVE! Is A Hands-On Exhibit

You can learn more about these species with hands-on activities for all ages. How about climbing on a full-scale replica of a Galapagos Tortoise Shell? You’ll learn how to tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile. You can even touch real reptile skins and guess whether they came from turtles, snakes, or crocodilians. Reptiles: LIVE! is fun for the whole family.

As you follow the exhibition, you’ll also get to meet Blondie the python, a snake-necked turtle, geckos, chameleons, iguanas, more snakes and turtles, lizards and virtually every other imaginable reptile.

Live Animal Shows Daily!

There are daily live animal shows which allow you to interact with members of their Living Collection while learning about them from expert staff members who can answer all of your reptilian questions. These shows are offered daily at 2:25 pm and on Thursday evenings at 6:30.

Reptiles LIVE! Offers Sleepovers, Birthday Parties and Group Tours

If experiencing the exhibit is not enough, The Carnegie Museum of Natural History provides you an opportunity to sleep over at the museum and amongst the reptiles. On top of that, there are up to three hours of reptile games to play before settling down for the night. This is an extraordinary behind the scenes experience!

There are also Reptile-themed birthday parties you can host either during or after regular museum hours. The entire party also has the opportunity to meet the reptiles and explore the museum at your own pace. Party attendees even get to feed an alligator or snake.

The museum also allows field trips and groups to experience the Reptiles Live exhibit.

Admission to Reptiles Live is an add on to a regular museum admission but the cost is minimal and certainly a bargain if you’re even curious about this unique collection of reptiles.

This new and exciting exhibit at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History is open through May 12, 2019.
