Washington to the Monongahela River and downtown Pittsburgh below. Once a practical – even necessary – means of public transportation that was greatly relied upon by people who needed to quickly and easily reach the city below, today the Pittsburgh inclines are a popular sightseeing adventure and also offer easy access to great restaurants.
